Testimonials:

"With over 20 years of racing at the top of your sport you are a true ambassador not only to the world of endurance athletics but to life. Over the past 10 months you have pushed me so hard, made me stronger than I ever imagined possible, given me the confidence to be the best I can be and never once accepted anything less than 100%. I could never thank you enough for everything you have done for me this year."
-- Andrew H.

"Lou Cookson's expert training enabled this out-of-shape, non-athletic breast cancer survivor to finish the Boston Avon Walk for Breast Cancer without so much as a blister or sore muscle. He stood by me all the way--and still does--coaching, encouraging, sending tips and motivational materials. He's even convinced me that I am an athlete and has me contemplating other races! I am proud to call him my coach and friend, and would highly recommend him to anyone who asks."

-- Monique R.

"With Lou, the physical training is only a small portion of what he gives to you! He teaches ALL aspects of training, not just putting you in the gym and handing you weights. Lou has taught me how to swim (which is no small feat ) and how to have confidence in myself to get in open water, which I was not able to do last year. He has given me tools to conquer my fears and overcome my doubts. I have learned balance in training, I have learned nutrition in training, I have learned to keep going when I thought I couldn't. Lou is the most amazing man I have ever met! His kindness towards his clients is above any I have ever seen. I have been training with Lou since May of this year and the strides and improvements I have made are unbelievable! I went from a complete "Newbe to a 2nd place finish in a half-Ironman all on one summer. I am a faster runner than I thought physically was ever possible; I am stronger than I thought physically possible; all because of Lou and his ability to train me individually, not a cookie-cutter trainer. My plans are individualized for what I want to become and I am on my way to becoming what I thought was an impossible dream. It is now a reality! I have my first half ironman in two weeks. What once was only a fleeting thought is now happening, all because of Lou and the care and wisdom he has shared with me. I do not know the words to say how thankful and appreciative I am to him, so I will say that he is not only the most amazing, caring man I know and extremely talented trainer, but he is a friend. I respect and admire Lou and think he is by far the BEST!!!!!!!!!! He has given me something that no one will ever be able to take away from me, and for that, I will be forever grateful."

-- Joanne C.

"I knew I had to get coaching help if I had any hope of completing a full Ironman. Six months before the race, I enlisted the help of Lou and started my personal journey to IMLP. I will never forget when Lou asked me my goal for IMLP and I replied "I just want to finish in a vertical position, with a smile on my face." I was able to do that and much more. Through it all, I know I could not do it without Lou's help, which went beyond just coaching. I knew he was there to support me the entire way. Now I am shooting for my next Ironman in 2011 at the young age of 55. I wonder what Lou will have in store for me then. Thank you Lou!"
