What a BLAST! Teams from Life Time Fitness Centers throughout the country competed in our 10 mile Rockin' Runnin' Relay Treadmill race held on May 2, 2009 starting at 8 am. The rules were
simple-- put together a team of four runners (divisions: mixed relay, all women or all men) and see how fast your team could run 10 miles on the treadmill! The energy was high and the competition was fierce as teams vyed for the top spot and bragging rights! Life Time Fitness in Cary, NC CRUSHED the event with 14 teams and 56 runners! Wow! Congratulations to the staff and the runners from the Cary Club. You set the bar high and you should be applauded for your efforts and ambition!

- Mixed Relay Team: ERIRIPI - Tempe, AZ; 1:02:42. (Steve, Arizona, Avery, & Paula)

After the 'friendly' competition, runners went out on the roads for an easy 3-5 mile warm down for the best workout day possible, combining some tempo training (Race PACE) with some aerobic volume. Teams of four also received a voucher to a lunch in the Life Cafe, including in the $20/team registration fee. What a great value and a great day for all runners at LTF! Look for similar events like the Rockin' Runnin' Relay in the coming months. Train Smart!
