Respect and Unfinished Business---5-26-2009
By Endurance Planet

Nothing motivates an athlete like unfinished business and a perceived lack of respect. When the U.S. 24-Hour Run National Championship is held in Cleveland later this year, Connie Gardner will be motivated by both. Gardner came heartbreakingly close to a record two years ago. Plus, she and her fellow Ohio runners don't believe they're getting the credit they're due. Put that all together and the inaugural North Coast 24-Hour Endurance Run (this year's championship) could be quite exciting. www.northcoast24.org
