Join the coaching staff at Life Time Athletic Scottsdale for a half-day clinic designed to improve triathletes' swimming race performance by focusing on freestyle stroke technique and stroke efficiency. Participants will receive expert instruction from our professional coaching staff including regional head swim and tri coach Nate Moore and elite triathlete and coach Cathy Yndestad. Highlights include stroke mechanics 101, swim drill progression, and open water training strategies.

The workshops are very interactive, with plenty of discussion around your questions and individual stroke. The clinic is divided into three components - 1) Lecture time poolside 2) Practical swim technique in the pool 3) Pool practical sessions focusing on open water technique.

Clinic Schedule:
7:30-8:00 Registration
8:00-8:30 Lecture, Stroke Mechanics 101
8:30-9:00 Lecture, Open water swim technique
9:15-10:00 Technique Swim work (in the lanes)
10:00-10:45 Open Water technique work (entering , heads up swim, etc.)
11:00-11:30 Q&A, Final words

You will need to bring:
1. Swimming gear, i.e. swim suit, cap and goggles.
2. Warm comfortable clothing for poolside dryland practical sessions.
3. Desire and willingness to learn new skills to help you improve!
